New York, Dec. 28

Mrs. Hazzird, the "starvation doctor," applied for admission to the Washington State penitentiary after losing a final appeal against her indeterminate sentence for the manslaughter of Claire Williamson, an Australian girl, who died after undergoing a fast cure;

The prison warden refused Mrs. Hazzard admission to the penitentiary on the ground that no committal warrant had been received. Pending its arrival Mrs. Hazzard was lodged in ah hotel.
