OUTRAGES AGAINST ANIMALS.

REVOLTING WELLINGTON CASES

[United Fbess Association.]

Wellington, Nov. 26

A series of attempts have been made lately to kill or maim horses belonging to the Victoria Laundry Company. Twice the animals have been driven over a steep .bank/with a drop of 25 feet, but in each instance they were uninjured. This method having failed yesterday a horse was badly wounded, a gash being noticed in its abdomen, 10 inches long and five deep. In a veterinary surgeon's opinion the wound was made with some instrument like a pruning knife. The matter is in the hands of the police.
