COMMITTEE MEETING.
A committee meeting of the Nelson Kennel Club was held.;-at tho secretary's office on Monday the president (Mr. N. P. Adams) iii-the chair.
Three protests were dealt with. ■• In connection with the competition for the Richmond collar, it was r&solved to ask the judge to make a fresh award. The protest of L. Naylor was held over. It was resolved that Anstice and Co.'s trophy be awarded to the best pointer bitch, Mr. H. D. Harvey's. It was resolved to write to the "New. Zealand Farmer" (the official organ of the Nelson Konnel Club), complaining of the manner in which the dogs wer© judged at the recent show. It was resolved that a letter, of condolence be sent'to Mrs. T. Bird in the death of her husband, who. had been a keen dog fancier. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded Messrs. Hugonin and Boddington for their services .as judges at the dog trials. . ' , Mr. Fairey's special for the best Irish terrier was awarded to Mr. ,N. Wilkinson's. "Poneke-Teef y Riot.". .
