Hastings, Oct. 14. Karl Ritz, aged 54 years, single, a gardener employed at Horton's nurseries, attempted suicide last night by drinking an irritant poison. He was found in his whare this morning in a critical condition, and w ras removed to the hospital. A note left showed that the act was premeditated.
