A WIFE FATALLY SHOT.
[United Press Association.] Auckland, Sept. 23. Mrs. Annie Rawstrom, aged 52 years, the wife of Mr. Alfred Jae. .Rawstrom, was .accidentally shot by her husband at Epsom this morning. Mr. and Mrs. Rawstrom returned from a holiday trip to Sydney on Sunday, and when unpacking to-day, Mrs Rawstrom, lifting a revolver from a bag, remarked, "It is stiff." _ Her husband replied, "Of course it is. It is held by a. clasp." He took hold of the. weapon and moved the- clasp, causing the revolver to be discharged. His wife dropped, with a bullet wound under her left eye. She was bleeding profusely. She died about iiftcen minutes later..
