WHERE DOES THE GOLD GO?
Every year tho world's stock of gold is increased by about fifty millions. Where does it go? The question puzzled the World's financiers for a jJ-.ms.Vter able period. But Messrs. Montague suggested in their last year's report that gold goes into India and never comes out. Tho natives buy it and possibly bury it. The Rajahs cast it in the form of cannon or use it for jewellery, or in some-way Jock it! up so that.it.nqver returns to.feod the stream of.'gold which fertilises, the . banking credits of the- world. In fact' India is practically the world's gold sink.
