Lady Ward and Miss Eileen Ward sailed by the Medina, says a London rress Association cable. ' Madame Melba has sailed fer America, where, says a London Press Association cable, Kubelik will join her in a hundred concerts. The death is announced of Mr Isaac Brent, a son of the late Mr W. Brent of Nelson. Deceased left Nelson some twenty-five years ago, and went to reside at Feilding. A Press Association message received from Wellington states that his Excellency the Governor and Lady Liverpool returned from Nelson on.Sunday morning. , • A Press Association message announces the death of Mr William Brumskill, the secretary of the 'Wellington Bowling Club, at the age of 62. Deceased was well known to bowlers all over the Dominion. On Saturday afternoon (states a Wellington Press Association wire) the ship-owners of New Zealand presented Mr W. Pryor, the secretary of tho Employers' Federation, with a silver tea service, on the occasion of his silver wedding. An old resident of Tauranga, Captain William Williams, aged 77, died on Friday afternoon. Deceased ran a trading cutter between Auckland and Tauranga at the time of the Maori War.—Pross, Association.
