TOBACCO WAR THREATENED.
AMERICAN BID FOR THE MARKET
(Received A«g .22, 9.45 p.m.) London, Aug 22. The "Daily Expreas" says the American Tobacco Products Company, whose capital is len million "Sterling, is about to mako a bid for the English market^ which is controlled by the Imperial Tobacco Company, with eighteen millions of capital. A groat tobacco war is threatened.
