Sswmillers have been greatly concerned regarding tho now regulations relating to. tho accommodation of their hands. It -appeared ■ from tire interpretations Jby some inspectors of the Labour Department that under certain circumstances fresh accommodation lied to be erected every month. Mr. Atmore, member for Nelson, placed before the Labour Department a united protest from the sawmillers, and received an official explanation, which removes the objections/ It seems that a .tent will'suffice if provided With an oiled .fry, a, board floor, six inches from the ground, and sides, boarded for 2ft. 6in. It mtifttb© periodically moved to secure hygienic surroundings.
