BOY SCOUTS' BRIDGE.

Boy scouts at Frant, a, Sussex village near Tunbridge Wells, have (the "Chronicle-" cays), completed the erection of the largest model bridge that has yet -been: put up by scouts in this country. The structure, which is 88ft. by lift., is composed mainly of strong chestnut poles prepared by the lads themselves, with a "roadway" of massive oak slabs. The bridge has boon specially tested , for holding a great weight, and has proved perfectly satisfactory. The same ti'oop of boy scouts' also attended a big charity carnival at Tunbridge Wells'with their new fire lighting apparatus. The outfit, which has been entirely designed and made by the scouts, includes a. iumping-shect of a special type, scaling ladders, a grappling ho-ok, fire buckets, two dozen chemical fire extinguishers, and similar articles.
