Murohison, July 2
• A three roomed cottago owned and. occupied by Mr. "VV. Hunt, blacksmith, was totally destroyed by fins about 5 a.m. to-day. Mr. Hunt was away shoeing the <o:u:b horses wh«n the outl)rcak occurred, and Mrs. Hunt \va* busy petting ln-rakfast. It is supposed that the' Jim wa« caused by a Jigh-t----od oandlo ignitinjj; tho draps-ries in a. bedroom. Neijilibonrs resisted _as ranch as possible, but only a few article,!? of 'furniture wore saved, all the ciotljJE^ :tes;ifg desi^,oyed. TJjo building and c.antuiiii; were insured in the Tjiverpoitl an-! Loudon and Globe» for £175.'
A two storied dwelling at Eiwaka, owned and o<>*--npie.d by Mr D. Bradley, was totally destroyed by fire at threoo'clock on* Wednesday afternoon. Nothing or s;iveH. The contents were insured in the San Office for £140,
