A remarkable- tragedy occurred at North Sydney on Juno ls% when a young man named Drysdalei shot a friend, Mi&s Bay, dead, -and then shot <md injured himself seriously.. Drysdakj was believed .to bo suffering from religious mania. He m#de. a rambling statement at tho hospital, saying that ho looked tip to heaven and something told him he must take his life, whereupon ho went inside and did the shooting. He added that the Bible referred .'to a new life hereafter,,and he wanted to go there with Miss Day.
