THE GOLDSCHMIDT SYSTEM.

In tho House of Commons, Mr Herbert Samuel, Postmaster-General, in reply to questions, said that upon learning of Herr Goldschmidt's reported communication between Vancouver and tho United States, he asked Herr Goldschmidt to demonstrate tho system. Ho roplied that he would bo unable to do so till August. In the. circumstances he did not propose to invite tenders, as it would involve a delay of at least another nine months.
