SERVIAN OFFICER BURNED ALIVE.
SOLDIERS MUTILATED;
BULGARIAN PRISONERS'

Athens, July 14. Tho Bulgarians during the first advance against the Servians brought •several of the latter to Strumnitk They burned a Servian officer alive, and killed and mutilated several soldiers.
Fourteen hundred Bulgarian prisoners, with six officers, were shipped at Salonika for Piraeus. Some of them were found in possession of women's ears, still bearing pendants, and distorted fingers still encircled by rings. It is officially' announced that the Bulgarians, after arresting them, murdered tho Bishop of Doiran, his nephew, and other notables.
According to the narrative of the employees of an American tobacco firm, Bulgarians at Seres on Thursday mounted four guns . on the adjacent heights, and bombarded houses flying foreign flags, including th/f consulates, where many fugitives sought refuge. They also shrapnelled crowds of fugitives from Seros,
