GUNBOATS FORCED TO SEA

New York, June 22

The first U3e of aeroplanes for dropping bombs on warships occurred in Guaymas - harbour. Masson, a French aviator, employed by the Mexican rebels, forced the Federal gunboats to take refuge in the open sea when bombs fell on the decks.

Masson reported killing 50 Federal soldiers by dropping bombs in the trenches round Guavmas.
