(Received June 22, 0.0 -p.m.) Sycfaiey, June 21. The heavy condition of the. turf, in tho Maori v; Metropolitan match made passing^ difficult. Both sides wont in for dribbling^- Duffy scored first for New South Wales. French, after dribbling, picked up and da-shed across for tho Maoris. Tho first spell ended three all. The only score in the second spell was Woods' try for the' Maoris, who won by six to three. On the whole New South Wales did most of the attacking, but failed to put tho finishing touches to their'work.
