Ensign BJllingsley fell 1600 feet from an aeroplane in mid-air': into Chesa-. peake Bay. His body has not been found. Lieutenant Towers, who was a passenger, clung to the machine, and was carried under the water. He rose to the surface and was rescued in a state of nervous collapse. The machine overturned in mid-air, throwing Ensign Billingsley out.
