AVOID OPERATIONS.
Extract from London "Medical Magazine" for May, 1910:—"These ferments obtained from the papaw, are mad© up in the form of an. ointment and gargle, and are recommended ao an application to enlarged glandular tissues, turnouts, and ulcerations. The present preparation seems to combine the most active ferments of the plant la a successful manner. Its activity as demonstrated by cases of hypertrophy of the torb£?sl bodies, and m cases of -enlarged tonsils. After threv) or iruar weeks' application there was very,, .vety'.marked improvement. There can tw no doubt that the prepar* ation is unusually, effective, and Bhould prove vwy serviceable, obviating the aeceßeit.y for operative procedures in many eases. Such operative procedures are often adopted' much too hastily. The prfcswrp ferii«?ntr are; i,well deserving uf a trial, and in many cases we haro uo doubt'tho result will be satisfactory." Fapaw Ointtnont, Is 6d (for ulcers, tumours, goitre, and poisoned wounds); Papaw rapayate, 2s 6d (for nasal catarrh); I^apaw llonio, 2s 6d; Papaw Pile Carp,2a 6d. .Wiiolesole: J. H.
