Melbourne, June 20,

Jamos Parker, an engineer employed by the Footscray Municipal Council, has been arrested on a charge of attempting to murder Jamos R. Knox, the acting-town clerk at Feotscray.

Relations between the two men have been strained for some time past. Knox formerly was assistant-engineer under Parker. They had a stand-up fight last week. Knox is in a serious condition. Ho was shot in four places.
