AGGREGATION AND SETTLEMENT.
(To the Editor of "The Colonist.")
Sir,—May I ask Mr. Harry Atmoro, : member for this, district, through _ themedium of your paper, whether. it is true that 'ho' has ..stated that the "Dominion" newspaper, which is the official organ of tho Massey and tho Reform Party, has among its shareholders, forty-five individuals who between thtm own over £3,000,000 of land in large holdings, and if he has stated it, will ho suhstantiato.it by giving individual names and tho value of tlieir holdings. It is a serious statement to make, for if true, it stamps tho Reform Party and the "Dominion" newspaper as shams, when they cry "settlement, sot-. tloment and more settlement,'' and yet; are blocking settlement by their huge holdings. If it is not true will Mr. At-; more withdraw his statement? Further, will he give us a comparison of > the Mackenzie and Allen loans. Awaiting his reply with, interest. I. am, etc., INQUIRER. Nelson, Juno 20th, 1913.
