AVOSD OPERATIONS.
Extract from London "Medical Magazine" for May, 1910 :—"Thes* ferments obtained from the papaw, are made up in. the form of an ointment and gargle, and are recommended, as an a?phca*ion to enlarged glandular, tissues, tumours, nlcerations. Jf." c present preparation seemß to combine th© most active ferments of the plant. ia a successful manner. Its activity .as d&monßtrated by «*vreral cases of hypertrophy of the turbr?fcl bodies, and in cases of enlarged tonsils. After three or four weeks' application there was very, very marked improvement. There can be no doubt that the preparation is unusually effective, and sh6md prove very serviceable, obviating the necessity for- operative procedures in many cases: Such operative procedures are often adopted ' muoh too hastily.
