MR WILFORD'S' EULOGY.
\ PLACE VERY HARD TO FILL. Wanganui, June 10. "It is true I am dreadfully shocked," said Mr T. M. Wilfont, _ M.P., w,hc-n the news of Sir A R. Guinnejs death was conveyed to him to-night. '"'I had a lotto- from him only a lew days ago, saying he hoped to meet me all well on the 26th. 1 knew him verywell, and was a personal friend, bat, Mr Wilford added, apart from that ho had been in the House for 14 or lo years with Sir Arthur. Ho was a strong partisan on tho floor o; the House, but absolutely impartial when ■in the cliair. His position would be very hard to fill. 'There was-no mail in the House capable, in Mr Wilford.s opinion, of carrying out the duties as he had carried-tliem oat. It could only bo done by a man having exceptional ability and possessed of knowledge gaineel by'long experience, ol Parliamentary methods and procedure.
