Tho woathor has lately been unfavourable to the sale of beef. .Clnlkd is selling at lower prices than frozen stocks of Now Zealand on hand. Light New Zoaland hinds 3Jd, fores 3-Jd; chilled hinds 4d, fores 2Jd. , . Butter: The market is quiet but steady, except for New Zealand, of which the supply is practically exhausted. The market is firmer owing to the Tainui accident. Choicest Now Zealand 115s, Danish 115s, Australian l0(>s, Siberian 100s, Argentine 102s. Choose: The market is firmer, with «n improved demand. Holders are not snxious to sell. Now Zealand white. 61s ; coloured 595. & Hemp: Tho market is depressed, and speculative. A. decline has been caused by tho absence, of manufacturers. New Zealand, good fair £30, fair £26 10s. .Prices are nominal. Forward shipments make about the same. Fair current Manila £32; forward shipment, fair current Manila £31. Tho output from Manila for the week was 21,000 bales. Wool: The market remains firm. Current Bradford quotations are: For tops 36's- low crossbreds. 16d per lb; 40's. low crosshreds, I.6sd ; 44's medium croHsbrods, 17id: 50's half hreds, 21d; sC's quarter-breds, 2-Id; 60s.
