PREPARATION OF SPECIFI-
CATIONS

Wellington, June 2. The Minister of Public Works stated to-day that specifications for the uncompleted, portion of the Otira tunnel were still in the hands, of the Public Works Department. Their preparation •was a matter of considerable magnitude and tenders for the works would not be called for some time.
