VISIT TO NELSON.
NAVY LEAGUE ARRANGEMENTS
I A meeting of the committee of the Navy League was held yesterday to consider certain mutters in connection .with the visit of H'.M.S. New Zealand. No action was taken with regard to arrangements for school children, which, are in the hands of a citizens' committee. It was decided to provide sufficient ribbon for badges for all the children who are members of the League. The secretary was requested to ascertain from Captain H'alsey the most suitable time on Sunday for th<» members to visit the battleship. A.. sum was voted., not to exceed £5, for the purpose of obtaining a prize for the men's sports,.and Ihe matter was loft in the hands of Messrs Grace, King, and the secretnrv to arrange.
