ISSUE OF NEW STOCK

The underwriters rocoived 75 por cent of the Royal Mail Steam Packet Company's issue despite the fact that it was offored at nine points below the quotation for similar existing stock.
The Royal Mail Steam Packet Company issued 1,200,000 ordinary shares at. 11l 12 10s to meet the purchase of the Nelson liners, and also to extend the business to the South Pacific after the opening of the Panama Canal.
