People's day at the' Masterton snow was hold to-day in glorious weather. Tho attendance was 17,000. The following championships wore awarded: — stallion, J. W. Harding, district championship, J. H. Tatham; marc. b. Short; gelding, F. E. J. Radchile; champion hack, E. Short's Scout. A' feature of the show was tho splendid jumping in the compotitioas, for wlnicli there were large entries. The results wero:—Ladies' leaping competition, E. Short's Scout 1, E. Short s Binbuhi 2 (both ridden by Mrs. Bekke, Wanganui), R. D. Morrison's Grey Dawn (Miss J. Angus, Hastings) 3. Champion jump, J. Niven's Pickpocket ] H Hawaii's Micky Free 2, E. Williams' Wild Fire 3. Consolation jumpin£- E. Wililams' Wild Fire 1, J. R. MacDonald'e Betrayer 2, Haesall s Micky Free 3.
