THOMPSON'S FINGERS TAMPERED

At the trial of Harold Thompson on the charge of the murder of Arthur Trotter at Fiteroy, one expert admitted that the .windowsill finger print •and. Thompson's fingerprints were somewhat dissimilar in certain respects. Two others declared that the prints were identical.
The skin of Thompson's right index finger had been removed; which would interfere with the ridges. -There was also a smoothing of the skin at the end of the left index finger. '
