Two hundred unemployed waited on Mr. McGowen, the State Premier, alleging that 4000 men were out of work in Sydney. Mr. McGowen is obtaining a report. One of a. deputation to the Labour Council declared that there were 6000 unemployed, while another vouched. for only 300/ '•[-'■, ' ;:;'-:- ■/.•; .'. '.. ... •
;A member of tie Gouncil-subsequentty caused laughter by remarking that the leader of the deputation had been associated with the unemployed movement for many years.
