In the course of an interview the Hon •¥. Mi B. Fisher stated that on his return to Wellington he intended going out to Terawhiti with the officers of the Marine Department to iioar advice as to where the new light should bo placed.
Regarding tarilf revision, he said it would be undertaken next session, and ht> also hoped that the Trade Descriptions Bill would be placed on the Statute Book. This Bill provides that every importer of goods must declare on the invoice the country of the origin of the goods, and if foreign goods they would be taxed as,foreigners ought to he taxed against British manufacturers.
_ With reference to the Military Pensions Act he stated that the necessary departmental forms were ready for circulation, and posters regarding the Act would soon be posted at every•!.railway station, post office, and old age pension ■office.
