Uncle Sam was earning up.very fast, while Duke Footc was well beaten. Shuja fell back, and Piastre and Hallowmas struggled for supremacy. Piastre drew away and won comfortably by one and a-half lengths, with Uncle "Sam three-quarters of a length in the rear. Time 3,27^. Ladies 1 Man was fourth, then followed Eudorus, Shuja, Mousme, Sandbath, Bobadea, Golden Point, and Artesian. Flomingtoß Steeplechase: Continuance 13.0, 1; Bibbenluke 10.10. 2; Kyappa 9.3, 3. There wore thirteen starters. State Craft fell at the first fence, and Coradjil ran off. Pay to was leading after the mile but fell. Bibbenluke led over the last fence, but Continuance immediately passed the others, and won easily by 2£ lengths. Eight lengths divided the next two. The winner was choered.
