(Received Nov. 5, 7.15 p.m.) Flemington, Nov. 5. A bitterly cold west windj and driving showers rendered Cup day unpromising. The weather, however, moderated slightly by noon. The prediction©.of the club that the previous records-would be exceeded by 20,000 appeared to be verified.

The results Avero as follows

Slakes : Wise King 1, MacDuif 2, Nata 3. Eighteen others started. Won by half a length, with three-quarters between the next. two. Time 1.5.

Railway Welter: Tadanga 1, Yarrum 2, Sylvander 3. Fifteen others started. Won by a length, with three-quarters of a length between second and third. Time 1.-IS; .

After a few stride® Slruja went to the front, and led past the stand from Cider, Ladies' Man, Eyeglass, Matouree and Hallowmas. Lady Medallist was running last and pulled up. Golden Point ran into second place, then came Matouree, Danius, Cider and Hallowmas. Cider and Ladies' Man, Wilari, .Bridge and Matouree displaced Golden Point. Duke Footc was in the centre of the field, but Avell feack, with Piastre, Undo Sam, Shuja and Matouree still in the lead. Hallowmas made a fast run, followed by Shuja, round the turn, Piastre ranking at third place, then came Danius, Ladies' Man, and Artesian. Uncle Sam was earning up.very fast, while Duke Footc was well beaten. Shuja fell back, and Piastre and Hallowmas struggled for supremacy. Piastre drew away and won comfortably by one and a-half lengths, with Uncle "Sam three-quarters of a length in the rear. Time 3,27^. Ladies 1 Man was fourth, then followed Eudorus, Shuja, Mousme, Sandbath, Bobadea, Golden Point, and Artesian. Flomingtoß Steeplechase: Continuance 13.0, 1; Bibbenluke 10.10. 2; Kyappa 9.3, 3. There wore thirteen starters. State Craft fell at the first fence, and Coradjil ran off. Pay to was leading after the mile but fell. Bibbenluke led over the last fence, but Continuance immediately passed the others, and won easily by 2£ lengths. Eight lengths divided the next two. The winner was choered.

Nursery Stakes : Scotch Malt 1 Beck's Lager '2, Tramontanta 3. 'Fifteen started. Tramontanta ma.de the" running, but Bock's Lager led into the straight. Scotch Malt mad© a game struggle, and won by a head; half a length separating second and third. Timel.lo ; \. • Van Yean Handicap: Slipper 7^lo, and Ptah, 7.9, dead heat, 1; Captain White 9.5, 3. Eighteen started. PtaJi made most of the running, but Slipper spurtod at the distance. In the run off Ptah won by a nose.
