, A. grand concert will be given in the Stoke Public Hall this evening.
The.-Railway Manager, Mr. T. Edwards, wag notified yesterday from head-quarters, that the District Engineer has given a certificate that the Glen hope section, is'fit and safe for public traffic. Mr. Edward© has no doubt .that the railway service will be in full swing as far as Glenhopo next week.
In the Supreme Court, at Wellington, on the 20th inst, on the application of Mr. H-ayes, probate of tho will of the late William ..Henry Barlow, of Takaka, was granted by ' His Honour Mr. Justice Edwards, to the widow of tho deceased. On the* 23rd August, in Chambers, on the motion of Mr. B. B. Mooro, Mr. Justice Edwards granted ?>rcba.te of the will of the late. Cordelia Buxton to Edward Burns Moore and Henry Buckoridge, the executors named in tb& said will.
