TITLED EMIGRANTS.

That emigrants from England into the New World are not confined to the working classes is (says the London "Daily Mail") "shown by the number of titled folk now seeking their fortunes in Canada. The Hon. Gerald Ward, youngest of four -brothers of the Earl of Dudley, and 'Lady Evelyn Ward (daughter of the Earl and Countess of Erne) are the latest titled settlers, having just gone to Toronto. They fire following the example of the Duke and Duchess of Sutherland, owning largo tracts of land in Alberta and British Columbia; .Lord Somers (late of Life Guards) and Lord and Lady Hyde, farming. noair Toronto; Lord Sholto Douglas, fruit-farming in British Columbia; Hon. Edward Cole, owning the largest hotel in Saskatoon; Earl of Stanhope; Mr. , Reginald Wyndham (brother of Lord Leconneld); Lord Aberdeen, who has fruit-farming, interests on the Pacific slope; Lord Clanwilliam and Lord Hindlip, big Canadian land owners. Many peers have large commercial interests iix Canada which claim their presence in the Dominion a good deal. Among them are Lord Strathcona, Lord Lovat, Lord Brucs, Lord Mostyn, Lord Vivian, Lord Wenlock, Lord Clinton, and Marquis of Graham, the Earl of Macclesfield, the Earl of Dunmore, the Earl of Harrowby, and Viscount Gort.
