CONCERT AT RICHMOND.

One of the most enjoyable concerts over held in Richmond was given at the Oddfellows' Hall on Thursday evening. Those who were not present really missed a musical treat. Every item was good and well received. Mr. Jas. Hunt (Mayor) occupied the chair, and apologised for the absence of Messrs. Allport and Francois, who were unablo to assist on account of ill-health. The various items given were as follows: Pianoforte solo, Mrs. A. Dyson; double quartette, "O who will o'er the Downs so free," Mrs. W. R. May, Misses Graham and Allport (2), Messrs Cameron, Hammond, M. Francois, and Bird; song "My Beloved Queen," Mr. Johnson; duet "Beauties Eyes," Misses Kingsland and M. Challies (encored) ;■ song, "Life," Mrs. H. Moore (encored), response "Sunshine and Roses"; recitation, Rev. Eaton (encored) : song, "April Morn," Mrs. W. H. May (encored); gong, "Scenes that are Brightest," Mrs. Woods; duet, "Nocturne," Mesdames Moore, and W. R. May; quartette, "I Know a Maiden Fair to See," Mesdames Dyson and W. H. May, Messrs Snaddcn and Poole-; song, "Dawn," Mr Johnson; song, "Dear Heart," Mrs. Woods ; duet. "Friendship," Mesdames Moore and May, (encored) ; recitation, Mr Joe O'Connor; song, "Snowflakes" Mrs. W. H. May; song Rev. Eaton; double qxiartette. "Last Rose of Summer," company; song, "Abide with Me" Mrs. H. Moore (encored), response "The Silver Ring" ; quartette, "Goodnight, Beloved," Mesdames W. H. May and Dyson, Messrs Snadden and Poole ; "Abide* .with Me" was? certainly the gem of the evening. Mrs. Moore was in excellent voice, and her rendering of this beautiful song will be long remembered. The singing of the National Anthem brought the most enjoyable concert to a rvnse. Mrs. A. Dvson, Mrs. W. H. Mny, and Miss W. Hunt played the accompaniments. The Richmond Brass Baud kind]v nlaved a few selections outside the Hall before the concert commenced.
