The Urilla, one of the Adelaide Shipping Company's newest cargo steamers, struck a rock in Whitsunday passage, and was beached ttf prevent her sinking.

Numbers 1 and 2 holds are full of water. The crew are safe.

AN AWKWARD POSITION

The U-rilla is badly damaged, and her position is awkward. It is impossible to tow her off in present conditions.
