Melbourne, July 26,

With a view to promoting more cordial relations with New Zealand, the Federal Government proposes to extend to New Zealanders residing in Australia the right to the old ago pension. It is hoped that New Zealand will reciprocate. A pensioner at present must have resided in Australia for 20 years. It is proposed to amend this so that ho may may have resided in New Zealand during the 20 years.
