FUNDS FOR WAIHI ENGINE DRIVERS.
DISORDERLY AUCKLAND MEETING.
Auckland, July 9. There was trouble from the very beginning of the citizens1 meeting called this afternoon for the purpose of discussing what steps should bo taken to placo subscriptions for the assistance of jnonibers of the Waihi Engine Drivers' axid Winders' Union on the basis of a proper fund. There were present some 25 per&ons who. from their demeanour, ve-ro evidently adherents of. the Federation of Lnb-rai1. The- proceedings became disorderly, and the matter under fiistvnsaion was not dealt with, and tho KKjeun;.;; br-oko up without any definite steps tK'i.ig taken.
