MINERS' STRIKES IN NEW SOUTH
WALES.
TWO PITS IDLE
(Received July 2, 1 a.m.) Sydney, July 1. The Hepburn and Lambton B collieries are idle. The miners at the former object to coal cutting machines, while the trouble at Lambton B is alleged overworking.
The Barrier Miners' Association has struck a levy of sixpence a- week to assist the Waihi and Reefton miners, and ■is forwarding £500 immediately.
