A SETTLER PUNISHED

Wellington, June 28. It was elicited at a meeting of the Wellington Land Board to-day that a settler who took up a- section at Tail] ape was not living on "it as required by the regulations, but instead had built turee houses upon it, from which he was deriving rents. He was, however, living himself in a whare on Maori land. The Board resolved to forfeit tho section for non-compliance with the residential conditions.
