Desertion of Turkish troops
Athens, June 25
it is reported that a squadron 'of Turkish cavalry comprising. 400 officers aud men deserted at Monastir, and joined the insurgents.
Turkish reports minimise the desertions, but admit that nine officers and 50 Albanians have deserted. Some arrests Im-voi been effected, and other deserters, ihavc surrendered. They declare that 'they were misled by their officers.
