A MODEST IDEAL.

The Labour Congross' resolution ia favour of a six-hour day and a five-day week was described by Mr Fisher as a modest idoal. Asked if he agreed therewith, he replied that he believed in trying to reduce the drudgery of life.
RAILWAY WAGES INCREASED
Sydney, June 10
The Railway Permanent Way Department has been granted an all round increase of a shilling a day in wages from April.
