A Teal good gamo was spoilt by' the bad state of tho ground, 'flip junior gam© had previously cut .up th© ground very badly, and a good display was impossible. Tho ground was really not fit for play. . YVaimai scored, two goa.s in the first fipell through Stratton .and Switzer. Both tsair: a narrowly misled; scoring on several occasions. The e«c-. onil .spoil'saw both teams hard at it, but it was half way through before & score was obtained. Miller folowmg up fast and scoring Federal's first goal. This livened things up, and shortly afterwards Miller" put Federals levd. From then on p'.ay was very evsn aim vigorous, but the score remained ..inuMtered. Towards the end tho l.gh* .was very bad, and ono shot struct the : Waimai goal-keepsr bsforo-.lie smv the ball.
