Amongst the crowd who ivitnessed the golf, final were many artisans, who cheered Mitchell. The latter is a chauffeur. The papers comment adversely on the introduction of partisan element. "Tb© Tinies" says the crowd was venomous ami unsportsmanlike. Th© "DaJlv New.v' says tho aristocratic spectator:* did not conceal their resentment at a. workman playing in. tho final. Both fch-e playera behaved in a moa-fc sivo«:t*3i-.Rj)lik« manner.
