OLD MAN COMMITS SUICIDE.

James Shield Kerr, aged 60, committed suicide early thia morning, at the- residence of hi& son-in-law. Deceased usually toko early, but was not about this morning. His son found his room locked, and broke it open with an axe, and found the old man lying on his back with a gun between his knees. The left sido of his face was blown away. Later.
At the inquest to-day on James Shield Kerr, the old man who shot himself with a shot gun, the- jury found that the act was committed while deceased was in a state of temporary insanity.
