Members of the Nelson Bowling Club are notified that the annual general meeting will be held at the. club-houso-on Wednesday evening next at eight o'clock/ when a full attendance is requested.
An application by E. B. Da vie.3 for a prospecting license- orcr 50 acres in the Baton .district, was granted by Mr. J. S. Evans (Warden) at a sitting of the Warden's Court on Thursday.* Mr. J. P. Hayes, appeared for tho applicant.

A prohibition has been declared against tho importation into Canada of any fruit from Hawaii, owing to the prevalence there of the Mediterranean fly. It is not unlikely that the prohibition will be extended to Australian fruits.
