APPLES VIA THE HORN.
The consignment of over 500 co-sr-s of apples by" tho Kaipara has readied London, having travelled all the wav by sea. The vessel left New Zealand on 10th March, and reached hero on tlie night of April 24th. Yost<«rd.n.y Avaroccupied in discharging wool between decks, and it- was only this rooming that they had begun unloading the apples. Mr. H. C. Cameron (Produce Commissioner) accompanied by representatives of tho houses to which th" apples woro con-signed, was present whon tho chambers were opened, and gave a portion of the fruit a careful inspection. So far as cou'd_ he j.e-fu the apples wor« in good condition and tasted well. They were also packed satisfactorily. Tho work of uulo-adinor will be concluded this week-end, and export opinion will bo available next week. Mr. Cameron is closely matching the matter.
