Paris, May 15

There were extraordinary scenes ' at Nogent-snr-Marno, where tho Anarchists were bosiegod. The town was lit up with torches, and huge crowds ars rived ky r;:r,lor-;, trains, and trams, shouting "Death." Some who were armed were- with difficulty restrained from indiscriminate shooting. The crowd attempted to lynch the bandits, supposing them to be alive. M. Lepine was accorded an ovation. Carrier's body was riddled with bullets. Tho woman Vuilloinin states that Gamier threatened to kill her. She added that the bandits did not take precautions, but mixed freely with the neighbours. Thoy made several visits to Paris to purchase weapons and prepared for a week's defence. They had £\v;> thousand cartridges.
