A SUDDEN END.
PASSES AWAY IN HAMBURG
HOTEL.
(Received May 15, 11 p.m.) London, May 15. Tho King of Denmark died suddenly during the night.
Ho had been staying at tho Hamburgerhof Hotel at Hamburg sinco Monday.
Tho can so of death was heart failure,
King Fredorik VIII of Denmark was a brother of Queen Alexandra, King George of Greece, and of the DowagerEmpress of Russia. Ho was born on Juno 3rd, 1843, and succeeded hi", father, King Christian IV, on the deat ; of the latter on January 29th, 1906. B<> married in 18G9, Princess Louisa, daughter of King Carl xv of Swodon and Norway, and had seven children. Tho heirapparent is Prince Christian, who wa.; born on September 26th, 1870, and was married on April 26th, 1898, to Princess Alexandrine of Macklenburg. The second son, Prince Carl, was born in 1872, and was married in 1896 to H.R.H. Princess Maud of Groat Britain. He was in 1906 elected King of Norway as King Haakon VII.
