FIGHTING FUND OPENED

Waihi, May 15. The members of the Ungino Drivers' and Winders' Union at Wniiu will not bo left without financial assistance while the strike of the Miners' Union compels them to remain out of -ftoik; The Engine Drivers' and Winders Union is registered under the Arbitration Act, and there is a strong feeling amongst people hero that the Act should be upheld in a trouble precipitated by the miners. As a result of tins feeling it was decided to open subscription lists to-day to raise money to provide a fi.-htin" fund to support the engine drivers in their efforts to conform to the conditions of tho Act. Over £40 has been collected already, and other promises are forthcoming.
