The Hon. H. G. Ell, Postmaster-Gen-eral, will arrive from Wellington by tb-A Mapourika this morning. A deputation from the Chamber of Commerce will wait upon the Minister this forenoon. The Hon. Mr. Ell will go on to Blenheim, .returning to Wellington on Saturday evening,
A Melbourne- cable states that the Macedonia's-New ZeaJand passengers include Messrs Smith, Grimes, Alford. Thomson ; Mesdames Simkin, Thomson and infant; Misses Severn, Kilroe and Eames.
A Sydney cable states that the, NewZealand Association held a reception ir honour of Sir Joseph Ward and family. There was a large and representative attendance, speciches of complimentary character being made.
A Press wiro from Auckland states the Hon. J. A. Millar has b<ien. suffermg from ptomaine poisoning for the last few days. He has been forced to delay his departure to Gisborne. In all probability Mr. Millar will leave for south on Friday.
